There are many digital marketing strategies that are available in order to achieve success in the marketing arena but I have found, through my many years of being a marketer, that there are still some procedures that are not being fully exploited.
Digital or data driven marketing is a term used for marketing of products and/or services using technologies that are internet driven.
The reason why this form of marketing is taking over from traditional marketing is because of the ability of the multitudinous tools to interact with targeted audiences in real time. Engagement being pivotal to marketing success.
In brief, here are some of the strategies that I believe you should be using but possibly have overlooked the importance thereof.
Digital marketing methods
- SEO – Search Engine Optimisation is a given but you may not be putting enough emphasis on the following – constantly working on improving your on page and off page SEO strategies. Generating targeted organic traffic that converts into sales or leads from the search engines should be the core focus and goal of your digital marketing strategy. Integrate SEO into everything you do online.
- Content Marketing – Research your audience and ensure that your content is reaching and sending the right message to targeted visitors who should then turn into customers.
- Social Media Marketing Strategies – People are social and your social media strategy should be as well. Use social media as a communication vehicle between your brand, your customers and your community. It’s an always on always connected medium that you can use to convey your message anywhere and at anytime. It’s real time.
- Conversion Optimisation – By reviewing how visitors move around your website and which devices they are using, you can build a complete sales funnel on your website directing people what they should do next. Use your website analytics to your advantage to learn and make the necessary changes to achieve your goals.
